DPHA Chair of Care Services Committee; Beardmore Trust Board Member.
Fiona McGregor believes taking a proactive approach to problems in the community is the only way forward. The mum-of-three has been on the Housing Association’s Committee for over two years now and is delighted with the regeneration work going on in the area.
She previously worked for the Association’s Out of School Care project and is now a Homeless Housing Support Worker for Unity Enterprise. Her husband, Ian, is a pipe fitter at BAE’s Scotstoun yard.
Fiona said: “The wider action work of the Housing Association benefits not just DPHA’s tenants but the entire community. Projects like Out of School Care, sheltered housing and the hanging flower baskets and community artwork make Dalmuir a better place to live and work.
“I’d encourage people to get involved in improving their community. It’s really rewarding being on DPHA’s Committee and I’ve made a lot of good friends. There’s a lot of valuable work being done here and I’m really positive about the future.”
